Advisory group on financial and professional services
The measure
The Pre-Budget Report announced that a new advisory group on financial and professional services will be convened, a smaller and more focussed successor to the former High-Level Group. The plan is to have the group act as a sounding board with respect to policies for the UK's financial services sector, looking at its long-term future and striving to ensure that the UK's competitive advantage in this area remains.

There is no date given, but this is expected to begin in 2010.
